Magibles Crown Cake

Need a Coronation Buffet Centre piece?! Look no further! This Magibles Crown Cake will be the crowning glory of any Coronation party spread!

A Classic Victoria Sponge (minus the top 14 allergens) Using our delicious mylk chocolate Magibles to finish it off!⁠ What could be more suitable to celebrate the Kings Coronation with than a cup of tea and a slice of this?!

Our Magibles are gluten free, egg free, dairy free, nut free, soya free, in fact the are free from all of the top 14 allergens!

This really is the perfect inclusive cake for any and every street party this Coronation Day!

  • 1 x 30g Bag Creative Nature Magibles
  • 340g GF plain flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 340g Caster sugar
  • 340g Dairy Free Spread
  • 6 flax eggs
  • ½ a Jar Strawberry Jam
  • 30g Icing Sugar
  • 300g Vegan buttercream frosting

  1. Cream the diary free spread and the sugar together in a large mixing bowl. 
  2. Add in the flax eggs bit by bit to create a smooth mix.
  3. Add in the flour and baking powder and mix well.
  4. Pour the mixture into two pre lined baking tins
  5. Cook on 180 degrees until risen and golden brown on top.
  6. Check with a skewer to make sure the cakes are cooked in the centre. If the skewer comes out clean then the cakes are done!
  7. Turn the cakes out onto a cooling rack and leave to cool.
  8. Once cakes are cooled Spread the strawberry Jam across the top of one half.
  9. Use a piping bag to pipe out a layer of buttercream on top of the jam.
  10. Place the second cake on top to create a sandwich.
  11. Use a sieve to dust with some icing sugar.
  12. Use the remaining buttercream to pipe swirls intermittently around the edge of the cake and then pop a Magible on top of each swirl so the cake looks like a crown.
  13. Serve yourself a slice with a nice cup of tea!
