Football cake

The only football that belongs on a plate ⚽🍮

This Football Cake is a sticky, indulgent centrepiece built for match days, birthdays, or any occasion that calls for something a little unexpected. Made using the Creative Nature Sticky Toffee Mix, it delivers all the warmth and depth of a classic sticky toffee pudding except this one’s been shaped into a ball and dressed up for kick-off.

The bake itself is wonderfully simple. The mix comes together with plant milk, dairy-free butter, and apple sauce before being poured into an oven-safe bowl, which is the trick that gives this cake its signature round shape. Whether you use an oven or an air fryer, it bakes up with a soft, caramel-rich crumb and a satisfying depth of flavour that sticky toffee fans will recognise immediately.

Once cooled, the real fun begins. A generous coat of dairy-free vanilla icing is piped across the entire surface, mapping out the hexagon panels of a football in bold black and white. For the black sections, activated charcoal, a completely natural food dye, is mixed into the icing to create that striking contrast. The result is a cake that looks as impressive as it tastes.

Completely free from the top 14 allergens and genuinely showstopping, this is the kind of bake that gets talked about long after the final whistle. Great for allergy-friendly birthday parties, match day gatherings, or any time you want to score big at the table.
