Double Chocolate Easter Cake

Is any holiday complete without a delicious Chocolate Cake? ⁠

This Easter we just had to create a classic Chocolate Cake, free from the top 14 allergens! Who wouldn’t want to dive into this vegan friendly cake on Easter Sunday. Easter is all about spending time with your friends and family and there really is no better way than doing this around a table with food that everyone can eat!

This was super easy to make with kids – they are able to do every step themselves (other than the bit involving the oven of course!)

We decorated it with lots of Easter inspired characters! How would you decorate yours?

  • 2 x Creative Nature Chocolate Cake Mix
  • 220ml Vegetable oil
  • 120ml Plant milk
  • 500g Vegan Chocolate Frosting
  • 200g Vanilla Frosting
  • Vegan Chocolate Bunny an Egg shapes (buy or make your own with moulds)
  • Gold star sprinkles

  1. Empty the contents of the pouches into a large mixing bowl
  2. Add the plant milk and the vegetable oil and mix well.
  3. Grease two circular baking tins and line the bottoms with baking paper.
  4. Pour half the cake mixture into each cake tin.
  5. Pop them into the oven and bake for 20 – 25 minutes
  6. Remove from the oven and leave to cool
  7. Once cooled, Spread a third of the chocolate icing on top of one of the cakes.
  8. Place the second cake on top.
  9. Use the rest of the frosting to cover the entire cake using a palette knife to spread smoothly.
  10. Pipe your Vanila frosting into rosettes around the edge of the cake.
  11. Place your chocolate bunnies/eggs/ whatever you wish, into the vanilla frosting.
  12. Sprinkle gold stars as you see fit.
  13. ENJOY!!
