Corn Bread Waffles

We have made a lot of waffles but never have we tried them with our vegan Corn bread so of course we had to try it and we can tell you now it didn’t disappoint either. ⁠

Pairing it with the dairy free ice cream and fruit gives a lovely sweet twist. They came out so fluffy and the perfect texture, they are also gluten free which you would never even know.⁠

One of the best things about our Corn Bread is that you don’t need to add any eggs or dairy milk.

You can add as many toppings as you like and go crazy! These definitely work as sweet and savoury waffles so is perfect for anyone!⁠

  • 1x Creative Nature Corn Bread
  • 50ml Vegetable Oil
  • 200ml Plant Milk
  • 80g Apple Sauce
  • 1 cup of strawberries 
  • 1 cup of raspberries
  • 2x scoops of dairy free vanilla ice cream
  • 4tbsp Golden syrup

  1. Pour the corn bread mix into a  mixing bowl and give it a quick whisk to remove any lumps.
  2. Make a little well in the middle, then carefully add the vegetable oil and milk. Give it all a good stir, but don’t over mix, or it will be a tad dense.
  3. Pour the mix into a waffle iron, which should make 9 depending on the size of the waffle iron.
  4. Whilst these are cooking, cut the strawberries into halves and quarters.
  5. Plate up the waffles and add on your fruit and ice cream then drizzle over the golden syrup and enjoy!
