Apple Crumble Muffins

We wanted to put a yummy twist on our dairy free chocolate chip muffins and turn it into a sweet dessert. SO we added smooth buttercream and nut free apple crumble on top.⁠

If you haven’t tried Apple Crumble Muffins before, then you really need to because it changed the chocolate chip muffin game.

One of these nut free apple crumble muffins after lunch or dinner is a great dessert. They are also amazing for on the go, whether it’s school, work or general day to day activities, these are for you.⁠

Ingredients

  • 1x Creative Nature chocolate chip muffins
  • 100g Dairy Free Spread
  • 2 Large Bananas (or 3 ‘flax eggs’)
  • 300g vegan vanilla buttercream
  • 6tbsp crumble 
  • 6x apple slices

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. In a mixing bowl, add in the chocolate chip muffin mix, mashed bananas and dair free spread and mix together.
  3. Spoon the mixture into six muffin cases and bake for about 25 mins, until lovely and brown on top.
  4. Once they are cool, pipe the vegan buttercream and place a slice of apple on each muffin and sprinkle over the crumble.
