Nut Free Pesto Pasta

Everyone loves a pesto pasta, so we created our own nut free pesto for everyone to enjoy.

If you haven’t added tomatoes to your pesto pasta you are definitely missing out and we could not recommend adding them enough! ⁠ ⁠

The best thing about a pasta dish like this is that it is so easy to make and so is our nut free pesto, it is a great alternative for those who have a nut allergy. We added our barely grass to ours and it tastes AMAZING. ⁠ ⁠

There are some really great benefits that come from eating barely grass this way. It is packed full of Vitamin A and C which act as antioxidants in your body!

Ingredients

  • 250g Gluten Free Pasta 
  • 1 tbsp Barley Grass
  • 250g Basil 
  • 70ml Olive Oil
  • 2 gloves garlic
  • ½ lemon (juiced)
  • 50g plum tomatoes
  • 500g Spinach

Method

  1. Bring a saucepan of water to the boil and pour the pasta in. 
  2. While the pasta is cooking add the spinach,  basil, olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice and barley grass to a blender and mix together. Add more olive oil if needed. 
  3. Once your pasta is done, drain and mix in with the nut free pesto. 
  4. To serve, add the plum tomatoes and add some basil on top.
  5. ENJOY
