Mandrake Carrot Cake
In the wizarding world, Mandrakes are notoriously difficult to handle. Loud. Dramatic. Capable of rendering an entire greenhouse unconscious before anyone has had their morning coffee. Absolutely not to be underestimated.
This one is a little easier to work with.
Our Mandrake Carrot Cake starts with a simple, wholesome bake, freshly grated carrot, vegetable oil, a splash of apple cider vinegar, and our Carrot Cake Mix, baked low and slow until the kitchen smells like a Sunday afternoon. Warm spice, natural sweetness, the kind of bake that earns its place on the table on merit alone, before the decorating has even begun.
And then the decorating begins.
Each square is topped with a generous layer of smooth icing and finished with a Creative Nature snack bar Mandrake, shaped by hand and brought to life with a skewer, two eyes, a little mouth, and a sprig of fresh mint planted on top like a proper tuft of leaves. They are completely allergen free, genuinely adorable, and unlike the real thing, they will not make you faint when you pull them out of the tin.
The most fun you will have in the kitchen this August. Ear defenders entirely optional.
